Nice Day for Being Lazy

Well, it's beautiful outside and we have really enjoyed the weather! We're having a lazy day. Here's a few pics of us hanging out.

Milly and her dang tennis ball.
Me (Shelby) enjoying the view of the yard.
Me again. Looking super cute!
Oh Milly, for goodness sakes! Leave the tennis ball alone! haha

These Are A Few Of Our Favorite Things...

We think these toys are the BEST! Santa brought us some for Christmas. Mom says he got them from www.hautedogboutique.com. They're great! Shelby's favorite thing to do with them it get all the stuffing out and then carry them around. The poor turtles end up being a ring with legs and a head because she takes the entire middle out and spreads it all over the living room!
I (Milly) LOVE tennis balls! They are my favorite. I pick up the regular sized tennis balls and carry them around and pretend to try to get people to play with me and then I run away. Hahaha!
We love these packets of food. We get a spoonfull on our dry food as a nice little treat in the bowl. We really like the beef and cheese one... it's like a hamburger for us!
This is the food we eat. We were eating something else but the vet said that we needed better food because I (Milly) have some health problems and the other food was just making it worse. We have to be very careful about my fat intake. Anyhow, apparently this food is good for you... and it's pretty yummy to me!
We really like to get these. We don't get treats much due to the fat intake issue... so we are very excited when we get these. They help our teeth stay clean since we really don't like for Mom to brush them!

Fun at Winthrop Lake

Well, Milly and I went for our first trip to Winthrop Lake yesterday. It was so much fun! When we got in the car we thought for sure we were headed to the vet's office... and we were not happy about that. But, when we got to the lake we were excited! We were so excited Mom could hardly get out of the car to get us out. She let us out of the car and we sniffed around and found all sorts of new smells. Then we saw another car come up. Mom said it was Marlie. Marlie is her friend but we have not met her yet... so, we started to run towards the car and then we saw a kid. Yikes! I like kids but Milly was not so sure and she barked and barked at her. I barked, too, of course! Anyhow, Mom told us to be quiet. She said that was Marlie's little girl and we needed to be nice. So, we hung out with Marlie, Summer, and Lucas yesterday. We didn't really do much with Lucas since he is a tiny baby... but we talked to Marlie and Summer and walked with them and we got in trouble for yelling at Summer when she touched our car. Marlie said it was ok but Mom was mad at us. Oh well. We were sorry for yelling. Mom tried to get Summer to pet us but she was scared... I am not surprised after the way we behaved! Maybe next time we will be nicer. I think we will try, at least.
Hopefully we will see them again soon! We had a lot of fun!

Now You Can See

This is what Mom says we look like most of the time... all covered up on the chair and cuddling.

Thanks to Gma

We forgot to post a "Thank You" the other day to our Gma. She got us these awesome new toys! So, Thanks Gma! Love you!!!

Beautiful Day

What a wonderful day! The weather is amazing and we have decided to be nice to each other, so we're writing this blog together! We'll post some pics from today.

Mom keeps calling our new sandbox her "flower bed". Now, call us crazy... but it looks like the perfect place for digging. Of course, we're calling it a sandbox and there's no sand in it. So, maybe Mom's right that it's not a sandbox... but it still seems like a fun place to us!

Speaking of Florida...

Well, Milly spilled the beans in her blog about the little trip to Florida. I don't really know what happened. All I know is Mom and Dad packed up all our stuff in boxes and Gpa helped them put it in a big truck. Then the next morning (VERY early... way too early for me) Grumpa came over and drove the truck away. I rode in the car with Mom and Milly rode in the car with Dad. We drove for forever... it was awful. I kept crying and whining and I got in trouble. Mom told me to stop being a baby and to be a big girl. She finally stopped at this place called a rest area and I got to stretch my short little legs. There were lots of people there and a bunch of kids kept calling me a "dalmatian dachshund". How silly. We stopped like that a few times... I figured out if I whined enough she'd stop at these rest areas and we could hang out for a bit. Anyhow, once we got to Florida the house was very little. Dad was not happy about it. I HATED the house so much I pooped right in the floor. I hated the yard so much I found a gap in the fence and ran out. We played a nice game of chase after that. Mom, Dad, Milly, and Grumpa were not having nearly as much fun as I was!! I had a blast. Mom grabbed me up and fussed at me. She told me I nearly gave her a heart attack and almost for "smushed" by a truck. That would have been bad. Anyhow, we went back to the house and they noticed that Milly was covered in fleas. She's so gross. She always gets into something. Then, her little friendly fleas decided they liked me, too and jumped on me. I was not happy about this. After that we got back in our cars and drove to my Gma's house. I have to say it really confused me because Gma didn;t live that far away from us before. We went back to our old house in the morning and put all of our stuff back in. I am really not sure why all of this happened but I am very glad that we stayed where we were. I would have missed my family... and my yard... and especially Squirrelly McSquirrel Squirrel!

Finally! I Get a Turn!

Well, of course Shelby had to be first... don't even get me started on that! She's such a little Diva! Anyhow, it's Milly. They call me "Mil" for short. I'm Shelby's sister.

Today is a great day. I can't wait to get out there in the sunshine. Hopefully it will warm up some. I just LOVE going out in the yard and rolling around on the warm grass. Actually, I like to roll around in just about anything. lol

Last week we went to Florida (which is an entirely different story all by itself) and I rolled in fleas... a TON of them! Man, I love fleas. They're the best! My mother, however, does not care for them... and she had the nerve to wash them all off of me as soon as we got back to my Gma's house. What a party-pooper!

Now for a stroll down memory lane...

A Little Introduction

Hi! My name is Shelby Ann Cobra. I'm the "Shelb" in "MilShelb". MilShelb is what my parents call us... me and my sister, Milly. I'm almost 3. My birthday is April 9th. I'm a silver dapple miniature dachshund. My sister is a red creme miniature dachshund. We're litter mates.
I'd say I'm a pretty fun girl. I'm loud and crazy. I get mad when I don't get my way and I pout or do things to punish my parents. My mom and dad say I'm "too much" but they always say it laughing so I guess it's ok to be "too much" sometimes. I'm a tiny girl. I love to be outside. I run and run. My favorite thing to do is sit in the house on the arm of the couch and look for squirrels in the backyard. Then, as soon as I see one, I run to the back door and DEMAND to be let out! Milly goes along with me and normally turns in circles until someone opens the door. Of course, my parents are so slow that by the time I FINALLY get out in the yard that stupid squirrel is up a tree. One day I will catch him! I just know it!
When I'm not trying to get the squirrel, I love to take naps. I especially love it when my mom takes naps with me. Dad doesn't take naps... he's no fun! haha
Where we live it is normally warm- but this winter was COLD! It even snowed. I'll post a picture to prove it.

Milly really liked the snow. She kept eating it like it was her own huge bowl of shaved ice. I really didn't get out in it much. It was just too cold.

Anyhow, I suppose that's all for tonight. This Shelb of The MilShelb is headed to bed.
