What Is History?

Kids say the darndest things... or so we're told... This is a story from Mom's day.

So, we started out unit in Social Studies today. In SC in 3rd grade, we learn South Carolina History. I start with a question: "What is history?"
Cute little boy in the back of the room raises his hand and politely says, "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present."

Be still my heart, how I do love children who can "quote" quotes. :)

We Left It

Well, we left the computer at our Gma's... actually, Mom left it. We had nothing to do with it because we were with Dad at home for the weekend and Mom went to Gma's by herself. So, we were not ignoring anyone and we missed you all terribly! We have gone to some blogs already and plan to visit more now!
