Whatever, Mom.

My Mom said, "Milly, stop eating that grass." Then she said (because she thinks I don't understand English), "Milly. No." She's so dumb sometimes.
I just laughed.
And laughed.
"Whatever, Mom."

Not Funny

Our Mom thought this was really funny when she came across it in an email. We, however, did NOT see the humor in it. Those poor poor helpless doggies who were being attacked by buns! They're not really weiners, people!

Almost Summer Break!

It's almost summer break! We are very excited. Mom gets done working on June 4th. Now, she might get a job over the summer... and she hopes she does... but we'd be perfectly happy if she didn't. :) We LOVE getting to run in and out of the house and do whatever we want. It's the most fun!
Plus, I need someone to protect me from Shelby... she is just SOOOOOO bossy!!

Not At All Spoiled

I am not at all spoiled. I am also not obsessed with my tennis ball. Here's a picture of me standing by Dad's desk with my tennis ball waiting on him to throw it for me... well, waiting on him to try to throw it for me so I can grab it and run. hahahahaha!!!! I drive Dad crazy doing this... but that's the point! :)

Our Deer

Here is our deer. He is super cute. You can just hardly see him in this picture.

You can see him better in this picture. We really wanted to play with him but Mom says all of our barking scared him off. Darn.

This Is How It Is...

Milly walks around with this stupid ball in her mouth...
and I boss her around and tell her how dumb she looks.
Here's me yelling at her about how she needs to just put the ball down.
Here's me fussing at her. At this point in the conversation Mom always gets mad at me because I am being too mean.
Here's me trying to get Milly to drop the ball.
Here's Milly running away from me and to Mom.
This is my favorite thing to do... sun on my belly! :)
I just love the cool grass on my back.
ahhhhh... this is the LIFE.

Been Snackin...

DSC00728.JPG
Well, Dad took this picture and emailed it to Mom. He TOLD ON US!! He said he was asking for "no reason" but Mom knew better. We'd been snacking on these and he wasn't sure we should be. Anyhow, Mom said it was ok as long as we didn't eat too many cause then we'd have a belly ache. Of course, Mom's belief is that if we eat too much of something and get a belly ache then that it just too bad for us! lol She's harsh. ;)
(Just so you know, she talks a tough game, but she would feel bad for us and hold us and talk real nice to us if we were sick. She always does!)

Blog Award

We've seen all these great awards and we wanted to start our own. So, our first THE MilShelb says "you're MAGNIFICENT" award goes to Puddles at We Three Doxies. You don't have to do anything but post it in your blog post for the day. :) We think you're great, Puddles. You're funny and you always make us laugh! Thanks so much for being our friend and thank you for being "magnificent"!!!

Our Aunt Marlie gave us this award:
The Rules:

1. Thank the person who gave you this award.

Thank you, Aunt Marlie! We love you and miss you bunches and bunches! Can't wait to see you again very soon!!

2. Share 7 things about yourself.

(I, Shelby, am accepting this, so I'm writing 7 things about me.)
1. I am beautiful. People always tell me that. I'm not spotted though, I'm Silver Dapple. People always say spotted... the correct term is "dapple".
2. I am 3 years old.
3. I am smaller than my sister. I like to stay skinny so I run a lot. :)
4. My favorite thing in the world is my stuffed turtle. I actually have a few of them... Mom says if you sewed all the pieces together they might actually make up one whole turtle. (I doubt it though... because I know for a fact I've eaten all the heads off.)
5. I love laying out in the sun. My belly used to be spotted... but it's mostly just brown now. Oops.
6. I love Milly the most. Mom says it's her... but it's really Milly that I love the most.
7. I am named after my Gma. Her middle name is Ann and so is mine... Shelby Ann Cobra. I love my Gma and she loooooves me!

3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic!
(I did not recently discover some of these, but I do really like them. Also, I'm not putting 15 because... well, because I'm Shelby and I make up my own rules... insert evil laugh here. lol)
1) Puddles at We Three Doxies
2) Wilf and family at Wilf and Digby discover France
3) Petsitgal at The Teacher's Pets
4) Dexter (he's a cutie pie) at The Tales of Dexter and Nora
5) Baxter at Kalyxcornucopia
6) Ruby and Penny at 2 Mini Dachshunds

4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.
Again, not so sure I'm doing that either... sorry.

Summer time...

Sweet Shelby
LOL, oh Mil...
(Mom loves the "action shots")
hahaha! Milly will kill me for posting this... but I couldn't resist!
Milly :)
This weekend was a tough one for our Mom. She was very sad about Lily, so we were nice and allowed her to follow us around and stalk us with her camera. She was so excited about getting TONS of great pictures. She said we should post just a few at a time.

Mom has been busy busy the last few days. We're pretty excited because she had an interview on Friday and today. Apparently interviews are when you go somewhere and they ask you tons of questions and then if you win you get a job. Mom wants one of those things called "job" but I don't think I'd want one unless my title could be "receiver of the belly rubs". I think that sounds like a great job! Dad wants to be the stay-at-home MilShelb Dad. Mom says no. haha! Mom says that's her dream job, too though. :)

So, this morning Mil was jumping from the chair to the couch and fell off. She hit the ground and then ran under the chair. Dad scared her because he said her name real loud! Dad told us he was just scared for her and that's why he did that, but he NEVER raises his voice so she was startled! Anyhow, Mil was ok and Dad moved the chair closer to the couch... so we were both really happy about that! :)

Well, I'm going to help Mom make hamburgers for dinner (and secretly hope that she drops some)... Have a wonderful night!

Aunt Lily

We are very sad today. Our Aunt Lily is going to the bridge tomorrow. We love you, Aunt Lily. We are sorry you have to go but we know you will be much happier because you will not be in any pain. We will see you again one day.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

This is the Lesson

This is the lesson and it's very simple. To make the pictures like we made, you go to this website and upload your photo. It's free. You don't even have to register. After you upload and go to the "create" tab, you click "effects" and then scroll down to "heat map"... and there ya go. Make sure to save it to your computer! :) It's super easy. Trust me, if I can do it... anyone can! :)

Playin' Possum

Well, today was a crazy day!! There was a possum on our porch! We have a screened in porch on the back of our house that leads into the back yard... and when Mom got home I yelled for her to come and see! She came out onto the porch and there he was... a baby possum! He was a mean little thing! He hissed at my Mama! Then he played dead... or "possum".

My Mom thinks he was playing possum in the yard and I carried him up on the porch thinking he was dead. I'll never tell her the truth though!

My parents were trying to decide what to do and made us go back in the house. Mom was in her dress clothes from work so she had to change. So, while they were in the house they saw him from the kitchen window and he went to the back of the porch to hide... or so they thought!

Mom got on her jeans and Mom and Dad went out to figure out what to do about this possum. They started moving the stuff on the porch to get to him. We couldn't see them but we could hear them and it was very funny! They were talking about running away when they found him because they were afraid his mommy would be there, too... but she wasn't!... and NEITHER WAS HE!

So, they looked and looked but couldn't find him... so they let us back into the yard again. We used our little hound noses... nose to the ground... and FOUND him! He was still in the yard. I found him and scooped him up in my mouth and said "here he is, Dad" and Dad yelled "put him down!!" So I did. He laid down and played possum again... and Dad picked him up with a shovel and put him out over the fence.

Our parents left to go to dinner... when they got back we went out in the yard again... and there he was! So, that possum didn't even play possum this time. He just let Dad scoop him up in the shovel and put him over the fence again. We took him back to the back of the yard this time where the woods are thick. Hopefully he won't come back again. Mom says sometimes possums have diseases... so we don't need to play with him. He sure was cute though!

(Picture was deleted on original website.)
This isn't him... but this is what he looked like. Mom didn't get to take a picture of him.

Well, that about sums up our week through photos. We've been pretty lazy, but Mom has been pretty busy... and there goes the blog! lol She says she's very sorry she has not had more time and she promises to do better! She'd better... or I'll steal her pillow at night! (She hates it when I (Milly) do that!)

To all of those mothers... and ESPECIALLY our Mommerson... Happy Mother's Day!!!
