Marvin Needs Our Help

You know... or could at least assume... that we love Doxies. Now, of course, we are a little biased... but Marvin needs us. It is a sad story and very difficult to look at the pictures... but Mom says it's important for us to share his story. It is just another example of how us dogs are really at the mercy of our owners.

Well, That Explains It

We got new floors... that explains the bed in the living room.

Mom and Dad put in new floors... they're just about finished.

Now, if only we can figure out what's going on with the camera. Anyone else seeing spots?

Blog the Change

We live in our own little world... a world where we are loved, fed, and cared for. We have a roof over our head, a bed to sleep in, food to eat, and people to love us. We are treated with loyalty, love, and respect. Decisions are made for us with our best interest in mind and at heart. We matter. We know that we matter. 

Not all of our kind are blessed to know this life. Not all are blessed to be loved, fed, and housed in a home where they are cared for. That just isn't right. Sometimes we forget this. We forget that there are others who need our help and support. 

Today we were reminded of that. We were on facebook and saw Noahs Arks post about Spirit. It breaks our hearts that people would treat an animal like this. An animal who only wants to be loved and cared for. An animal who deserves the lives so many of us enjoy and take forgranted every single day. 

Today we are not taking it forgranted. We are grateful and we want to express our outrage at the way Spirit was treated and our gratitude for the people who are doing something about it. Thank you, Noahs Arks rescue.

What's Wrong?

Anyone see anything wrong with this picture?

Yes, the bed IS in the LIVING ROOM. 

They have lost their (as our Mom says) "ever-lovin'" minds.

Hmmmm. Apparently something is going on. Last night the carpet went out of our house in big black bags.

Here's me (Milly) hiding because I'm embarrassed. (And, I'll admit it, a little mad because this is my space. I like to sleep out here a lot of times to escape. haha!)

This is Shelby hiding... or maybe just being lazy sleeping. Actually, she's probably just sleeping. She loves the bed and is probably glad it's out here. 

Weekend Warriors?

Our parents are what you call "Weekend Warriors." They pick a project every couple of weeks to do in our house. Then, they tear the house apart, do whatever the project is, and put it back a different way. It's enough to make your head spin!!

Anyhow, here we are supervising the painting of our bedroom.

What We Know About Love

What we know about love is:
Love is breakfast right on time in the morning.
Love is dinner with something extra yummy on top.
Love is a nice cuddle before bed and then sleeping right up close to your person all night long.
Love is a warm blanket on the couch just for you.
Love is someone happy to see you when they get home.
Love is when someone makes squealy noises when they see you after they've been gone.
Love is a great big hug.
Love is someone to run to.
Love is someone to run with.
Love is someone who knows what you want without you even having to say one word.
Love is something awesome.
